TWA Statement 2pm 12th January 2010

TWA Board and Management wish to announce that an addtional 200 individual entry slots for the Busselton Half Ironman Individual Field have been allocated. These 200 slots have been filled with those who had already registered on the waitlist. The teams component has been reduced to 200 team slots. This is effective as of 2pm Tuesday 12th January 2010.

Athlete safety and the integrity of the event is and will remain paramount.Due to the great demand in individual slots for this event, the above changes have been made and the race will be capped at 1400 individuals and 200 teams. Through careful consideration and in depth consulation with and Race Director, TA Technical Chair, Event Management Committee and TWA Board, from a safety and technical perspective it has been determined that we could increase the individual field by 100. Event timelines and some minor course changes, along with the change to two laps on the bike course will accommodate the increased field of 100 competitors.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTRIES FOR THIS EVENT HAVE BEEN CAPPED FOR ATHLETE AND SPECTATOR SAFETY PURPOSES.

Non members Individual Entry Fee	$295.00
Teams 3 members all TWA/TA members	$455.00
Teams 2 members both TWA/TA members	$395.00
Teams 3 members all non TWA/TA members or team comprising TWA/TA members and non-members	$475.00
Teams 2 members both non TWA/TA members or team comprising one TWA/TA member and one non-member	$415.00
Athlete function/meltdown party/medal ceremony tickets each (for non competitors) (A link to purchase extra tickets will be available on the website soon)	$45.00
